Speaker Bio Noel Fittock
Change Manager - Strong Families Safe Kids Implementation - Children and Youth Services
Noel Fittock is a senior manager with Tasmania’s Children and Youth Services and is responsible for operationalizing key elements of the State Governments Strong Families Safe Kids reform agenda within Child Safety Service. Noel holds a Master of Education (Adult Education), a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management and a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (Policy). Noel’s previous positions with Children and Youth Services include Child Protection Manager (Case Management & Permanency Services) and statewide Manager of Quality Improvement and Workforce Development. Noel has worked extensively across a range of health and community services including alcohol and other drug, youth health, mental health and sexual health services and always with a focus on children, young people and their families. Noel worked extensively in the outer western suburbs of Sydney, in rural and regional NSW and in the United Kingdom that included managing the Young People Substance Misuse Strategy for Manchester City Council. Noel holds a strong commitment to ensuring supportive and evidence-based interventions are accessible to vulnerable families early, recognizing the social determinants that impact on child wellbeing, child safety and good enough parenting.
